Budget Cars

Amazing Cars For Under $2,500

For those of you on a strict budget or to get your hands on a future collectable classic that’s in need of some TLC, I set myself the challenge of tracking down ten of the best finds online. The car maybe an older model, a design throwback or something cool with higher mileage, but anyone of these cars that’s been well looked after can be just as good. Where possible in the search categories, I have selected ‘No Accidents’, however there may still be the odd dent (which may not be much to repair) from the results that came back. There’s something for everyone, so let’s take a look at what I found.

There are two hatchbacks at the top of their game – Toyota Corolla and Mazda3. Both improved vastly with their new generation models in 2019 including a much sportier, aggressive look, up-to-date technology, and improved driving dynamics. Car Comparison

10 Essential Factors to Consider When Comparing Vehicles

For every vehicle on the used car market, there are always alternative makes and models that are similar in year, horsepower, shape, and price. You may have your heart set on a Subaru WRX for example. However, you could look at a Honda Civic Type R, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, or Toyota Camry TRD to make a comparison, and then decide which is the best value and ticks the most boxes. There are also different engine types, fuel types, and trim levels within a certain model. So, what are the 10 essential factors to consider when comparing two or more cars?

Ford Mustang

Car Review: Ford Mustang (2005-2014)

Code-named the ‘S-197’, the new retro-designed fifth generation Ford Mustang has amazingly more than 140 special edition models between 2005 and 2014 to choose from. The popularity of this generation sold more than the previous couple of generations thanks to Sid Ramnarance’s innovative muscle-car design and the much improved body. So what can you expect from the S-197 Mustang? Read my cheat-sheet summary to find out.

First Time Drivers

Best Used Cars For First-Time Drivers

While most of us grew up with plenty of experience as a passenger in our parents’ cars, actually getting behind the driving wheel and driving a car is a totally different ball game. Spacial awareness plays a big part in driving, along with safety and a feeling of control. However, not everyone gets their first vehicle purely for personal use. Some people have to get a license for work, and if your work involves working on the land or for a courier company, you will need a larger vehicle to learn from to get the necessary skills and to look for when buying a used car. For these reasons, along with a reasonable budget of $10,000, and no more than 100,000 miles on the odometer, I have collated a list of seven ideal used cars for first time drivers.

Ex-Rental Cars

Should I Buy an Ex-Rental Car?

Navigating the used car market can bring up many different options and avenues to look into. One such avenue is the ex-rental car market. While your first impression may be general mass-produced white fleet cars that have been treated poorly by multiple drivers, you may be surprised at what is available, and the good deals you can get for a recent used vehicle.

Subaru WRX

Car Review: Subaru WRX (2014-2021)

Renowned for the previous Subaru Impreza WRX (especially those built between 1992 and 2007), Subaru’s newer models would drop the ‘Impreza’ moniker to concentrate on a stand-alone model highlighting the qualities of a low priced race-car. Subaru also made the decision to also drop the hatchback (which accounted for half the sales in the U.S.) from the range and focus solely on the four-door sedan. So what’s the fuss all about?

Million Mile Car

Cars That Have Driven A Million Miles

Often we look at cars that have low mileage when searching for a used car to buy. This is because of less wear and tear to the engine and body, but also because with regular maintenance (as you will read from those who have managed to clock over a million miles in their purchase), you can run a car for many years accumulating many hundreds of thousands of miles. So let’s take a look at the makes and models of cars that have managed to achieve more than a million miles.
