The Wrangler has been around since 1987 when the first generation hit the market. The third generation now called the Wrangler JK was first introduced in 2007 which spawned the introduction of a four-door version called the ‘Unlimited’ offering more space and a longer wheelbase. This direction was aimed more at the family than enhanced practicality for off-road adventures however, while the short wheelbase two-door models were still being produced with the unique fold-down front windscreen, removable doors, and roll bar.
